The Biden Administration's vaccine mandate for employers is a flagrant violation of the American Constitution, and the collective agreement between business owners and the government. I am pro-vaccine, signed up the day I was eligible to receive my shot. I am currently awaiting my booster shot. I think the vaccine is one of the biggest modern medical miracles. However, a core tenant of the American way of life is personal decisions and personal responsibility. Not Government, top down decisions being made for you. There is no scarier phrase than, "I am from the government and I am here to help". I stand shoulder to shoulder with businesses who oppose the Biden Administration's vaccine mandate.

Today I received a letter from Asheboro City Manager John Ogburn. The city received over $8 million dollars in COVID relief funds. These funds could have been used to pay for better schools, better roads, add additional funds to the underfunded Asheboro Police Department, or even to help struggling small businesses in Asheboro.

Instead city leaders decided to use the funds to pay for glorified soccer fields close to the North Carolina Zoo. This is not fiscal responsibility. This is the definition of government waste.

This continues the long pattern of government waste and irresponsibility shown by our city leaders.
